TOEFL (iBT) is an internet - based test, administered by Educational Testing Service. It is intended to measure the ability of non-native speakers of English to understand and use the language while writing, speaking and listening in a university and college. Individual universities and colleges define their own score of acceptance and these scores are valid for two years after the test date. The scores are announced within ten days and are easily available on the internet or mailed to you if selected as an option while registering. The TOEFL scores are not only helpful for you to succeed with admissions but can also help you get into many government agencies, scholarship programmes and licensing / certification agencies.
Candidates are tested in 4 sections, Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Each section is allotted with 30 points. The total score ranges from 0-120 points.
